“During my first weekend my host family took me on a trip to a hacienda outside the city. Everyone was very hospitable and it was a great immersion in the Colombian culture. My Spanish program in Cartagena gave me a good start-off for my trip through Colombia. The Spanish classes took place in an old building in the centre of Cartagena. I was in a small group. I enjoyed my classes, which were mainly focused on grammar and vocabulary. In the afternoons I had kite surfing classes.
Cartagena has a perfect coast for surfing. It was great!

“My Spanish program in Leticia was really the best! I have had a great time in school and all people who worked in the hotel were great. Also the activities that you can do after school or in the weekends were great! I enjoyed my time and especially my teacher was the best! She was very patient and understanding. I have had such a great time with her. Also all lessons were in Spanish so you are really triggered to speak in Spanish. The city Leticia is not very large so for me it was the perfect place to start my trip through Colombia! In this beautiful place in the heart of the Amazon :-)!“

“The classes are held in a great building, which helps make the time spent in class more enjoyable. The teachers here are very energetic and are able to explain things in a clear and helpful way. The school’s location makes exploring the city of Buenos Aires easy. I chose the home stay option; my family was very welcoming and our nightly dinner chats provided a great opportunity to practice my Spanish. Unfortunately the 4 weeks went by all very fast, if I had the opportunity I’d do it all again!“

“I studied for 3 weeks in Cartagena and had a really great time. My host family was really great, they were so nice and helpful. I definitely recommend to stay with a host family. It’s a good way to integrate in the life of Colombians and off course to practice your Spanish. The city is beautiful and the weather is always sunny and there is a good nightlife. Colombians are really friendly and open for contact. The school is close to the old city center and there are many restaurants around the school for lunch. In the school you will find students from all ages and it’s easy to make contact.”
